“A big part of what’s made Lokal successful—and why we’re the answer for a growing number of homeowners—is that we’re building the right homes in the right locations,” said Lokal Homes’ vice president of sales and marketing Carolyn Morrison. “We work really hard to create homes that will not only be desirable, but sustainable and an enduring good value—not just a good price—for our homeowners. Emerald Ridge in Castle Rock is a perfect example.”
Morrison is describing the flourishing townhome community in Castle Rock. Emerald Ridge’s low-maintenance homes are priced from the mid $300s and range from 1,622 to 1683 square feet. All the townhomes include an attached garage. The community has easy access to I-25, is close to wonderful restaurants in historic downtown Castle Rock, near the Plum Creek Golf Course and a short distance from the Castlewood Canyon State Park in historic Castle Rock. Although recently opened, the 45-home community is almost halfway sold out.
Morrison pointed to one of the community’s innovative home designs, the Mollie, as an ideal example of the townhomes’ flexibility and smart architecture. “There isn’t any wasted space,” she said. “So the home lives and feels more comfortably and more open than comparable plans in other communities.” The Mollie design comes with two bedrooms, but has the option to include up to four, has an included main floor study with a bath, and can be configured with up to three total baths. The main floor features an open great room and an optional fireplace for entertaining. The kitchen includes a spacious walk-in pantry as well as generous peninsula with room for four barstools. There is even a cozy home center off the kitchen, ideal for a study space. With a base price from $346,990, it is affordable without sacrificing space.
A small handful of the popular Mollie home designs are complete and ready to own. For immediate move-in is a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath Mollie with a gourmet-style kitchen that includes 42-inch white cabinets, granite countertops and a tile mosaic backsplash. It is priced at $384,608. Special move-in incentives are available and up to $5,000 towards financing for buyers choosing to work the builder’s preferred lender.
Emerald Ridge’s other home design is the Colten with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and 1,622 finished square feet. An optional study or extra bedroom on the main floor adds an extra 266 square feet to its design. A front deck above the entry and an open great room design makes the home ideal for entertaining. Owners will also appreciate the convenient upstairs laundry and large linen closet. It is priced from $374,990.
Morrison said that buyers should look forward to the industry-exceeding level of finishes and craftsmanship found in all Lokal homes. For example, she noted Lokal ‘s use of windows for natural light, Cemplank fiber cement exterior siding, upgraded fit and finishes that are included — 42-inch Timberlake cabinets, 3cm granite countertops with an undermount sink as well as Bradford Hardwood laminate flooring the in kitchen, nook and entry to name a few. Options like fireplaces, barn door-style doors in select areas and additional bedrooms make the homes fully customizable to fit most everyone’s wants and needs.
